Dr. Christine Smith was born and raised in a small town in Northern California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology from the University of California, Davis, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. She rotated through Miami and Palo Alto VAs, as well as a variety of community health clinics, where she had an emphasis in ocular disease and specialty contact lens fittings.

Dr. Smith has worked in multiple optometric environments, including owning her own private practice, community health, and corporate optometry. Her areas of specialty include management of ocular disease, specialty contact lens fits, dry eye management and co-management of surgical interventions.

Dr. Smith plays an active role as a member of the Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and the American Optometric Association. She enjoys traveling, working out and spending time outdoors. She loves spending time with her husband, three children, and cocker-spaniel mix as well!
